Lyrics
Copyright© 2011 by Sherry Somach (lyrics), Nadia Cripps (music, piano) and Calum Carlyle (vocals, guitar, bass guitar). What to Say What to say Words held at bay How can I fully express The things that are causing distress Of earthquakes and hurricanes, nonstop rain Wondering if we’ll ever be sane Or are we in for just more pain? What to say Words held at bay Images mangled, held back in fear Wondering what is keeping me here With needless wars and political oppression Knowing we are headed towards regression And no appeasement with confession Bridge Maybe you have the words to say To make me want to seize the day To be a part of the farce of this cosmic play To give me a reason why I should stay What to say Words held at bay Don’t know exactly how to sway What’s locked inside of my hideaway Of sun dappled days and passionate nights Where everyone cares and nobody fights Will somebody ever turn on the light? Won't somebody please turn on the light? Sherry Somach c 2011
