Seventh Sun cranks out a titanic dose of rockin' Rhythm & Blues with a dangerously funky attitude. Fronted by the soulfully dynamic Ashley Brooke James, Seventh
Seventh Sun's roots date back to the late 90's, when Scott Plowman (bass), Tim Preece (guitar), Paul Sane (guitar), and Andrew Silver (drums) formed the band and spent several years layin' down their grooves and pleasing fans in Austin's top venues. Eventually, the band went through some changes and disbanded due to the relocation of one of its members. However, these talented, creative, and driven musicians could not be separated for long... A New Seventh Sun Rises... Seventh Sun reformed in the Summer of 2009 with all original players and a FANTASTIC new female vocalist. They are better than ever and have refined their distinctive blues-rock sound. Members of Seventh Sun have individually and collectively showcased their musicality all over the United States and Europe for over twenty years. With a degree in musical theater and a lifetime of performing experience, lead vocalist Ashley Brooke James has spent time as a singer, actress, dancer and model in such prime cities as New York, London, and Las Vegas before choosing Austin, TX as the home base for her flourishing career in the arts. Her incredible voice and passion for performing is equaled only by her striking beauty and infectious charisma. Just think "WOW" and you get the idea. Seventh Sun's original tunes have been described as a sonic blend of powerful blues, rock, funk, soul, and swing. Think Stevie Ray Vaughan meets the Rolling Stones, with Etta James, Aretha, and Freddie Mercury along for the ride. Their tunes will pull at your heart-strings and get your toes tappin' all at the same time -- "Blues like you've never heard before!" Currently, Seventh Sun is the studio to laying down the tracks of their upcoming debut album. Be sure to check back for more information on its release and other exciting endeavors!

Lyrics
I'm goin' back to Texas, Don't want no more of Tennessee I'm goin' back to Texas, Don't want no more of Tennessee Got a man back home in Austin, Maybe he still cares for me. I've been to New York City, But, I just could not find no rest I've been to New York City, But, I just could not find no rest My heart felt so lonely, I could feel it breakin' in my chest Oh, time keeps on movin', And I ain't been home yet. Oh, I'm so tired of Ramblin' Got to rest my weary bones. This road ain't worth the mileage, When you're travelin' it alone. Repeat Chorus I'm goin' back home, I will not be denied. I'm gonna pack up my guitar, and catch a greyhound bus to ride...
