3 piece rock band based based out of San Luis Obispo, CA who happen to follow Christ.
Threshing Floor is Parish Ruth (vocals, guitars), Josh Ruth (bass), and Andy Covington (drums). This formation of the band began in early 2009. Parish and Josh are brothers while Andy joined thru a mutual friend at church. From there we continued to meet at least once a week on the weekends to fellowship, pray then play.

Story behind the song
You can't really grow in any relationship that is based on performance and condition. God loves us unconditionally even if we reject his greatest gift, his son, Jesus Christ. This love God demonstrates to us daily is to be mirrored by those of us who claim to love God in return. 1 John 4:20 states, "Whoever claims to love God yet hates his brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother or sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." Many Christian and "religious-types" are troubled in this area. They claim to love Jesus but have relationships based on conditions they set for their convenience. Not only is it difficult to grow a relationship based on condition, but you will never really find out who the person you love really is.... because they are basing their image on what you find acceptable. This should not be.
