3 piece rock band based based out of San Luis Obispo, CA who happen to follow Christ.
Threshing Floor is Parish Ruth (vocals, guitars), Josh Ruth (bass), and Andy Covington (drums). This formation of the band began in early 2009. Parish and Josh are brothers while Andy joined thru a mutual friend at church. From there we continued to meet at least once a week on the weekends to fellowship, pray then play.

Story behind the song
Actions based on self can be temporarily rewarding leaving us for more. When actions are based on serving others not of our own strength, but with guidance from God and help from friends, then the rewards is fulfilling and even eternal. In this song, the discussion is between me and Christ. I recognize my own pride and realize I inadequacies, giving Him thanks for His commitment to me and the gift of eternal life.
