Lyrics
Long Walk to Winslow copyright 2011 Kevin Miller Say goodbye to memories, and all those things that kept you holding on. Tear down the fantasies that made you think he’d never do you wrong. And lie awake on sleepless nights. Pray the world will treat you right. And find the guts to finally hit the road. Chorus It’s a long, long walk back to Winslow. When you love someone. When you cut and run. It’s a long, long walk back to Winslow In the pouring rain. In the burning sun. Verse 2 If it weren’t for him you never would have been so happy all those years. And the friends you made, why you aint complaining now. But as time passed by, you can’t tell why your laughter turned to tears. And you gotta find a way to get it back somehow. So you left a letter on the door. This don’t feel like love no more. You take your chance on life from here on out. Chorus Bridge: And it’s slow to hitch a ride with a kid at your side, no matter where you roam. It’s tough to make a dime in hard luck times, and make it one your own. Just like they say, It’s a long, long way… To get back home. Chorus

Easily one of the best tunes yet from the Blueberry Hill gang. Great lyrics, wonderful melody, solid playing, and fine lead singing and harmonies. I thought the solos could have been just a bit more aggressive but that has nothing to do with the song itself, which i predict will be #1 in bluegrass shortly if it ain't there already. Hats off to the Miller Tribe. Great new tune for my mountain music station!
