Story behind the song
My music came as a reaction to my so sad discovery... I was listening to an amazing singer Alessandra Cora and after reading the comments I've learned that this beautiful young talented girl died in the collapse of her home in a tragic earthquake which struck L'Aquila (Central italy) in 2009. Here are some of the links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tttdjxwNLyU&feature=channel_video_title http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVbIkb2zNV4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7pv0_TJ1fU John heard my music on 50/90 and he created his amazing lyrics and vocals. Thank you so much John for your fantastic collaboration with me and for creating your amazing work! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ7YVye2GXs
Lyrics
Alessandra Copyright© 2011 by Nadia Cripps (music, keyboard, photo) and John Scunziano (lyrics, vocals). Why did the song-birds all 'round the world start crying One of their own was taken too soon, it's frightening Why did the song-birds all 'round the world stop singing Maybe the Lord had something in store Planned something more For our little Alessandra Maybe his plan was that she would sing in Heaven A choir of Angels, and Alessandra leads them Every... one loved her... her laughter... her smile This angel... on Earth with... the golden voice Why did the song-birds all 'round the world start crying Crying for Alessandra - who's now in Heaven Where does an Angel, who fills the world with song... belong Wondering... wondering... Was this all... God's plan Was this all... God's plan What are the song-birds all 'round the world each singing Singing for Alessandra - while they're all weeping, weeping They... all... weep for their... song-bird
