Sidney Earl Goodroe is a musician, engineer, and producer. I reside in Macon, Georgia. I have been composing and recording music for some 40 years. Classical music training began at age 7. I picked up guitar at age 12. I began playing in dance bands about age 14. By the time I was 17, I was already involved in opening shows for some of the better known Capricorn Record artists. Tragicly, when time came for me to sign my own deal, Capricorn had to file bankruptcy and shut down. But, I moved on with a deal with Albert Drake in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I ended up doing some studio work for CBC. I came back to the States and started touring all over. Suffering from road burnout, I came home to Macon. I am now married and settled down, but, I own my own studio and freelance for all sorts of projects.

Story behind the song
This song was written while performing with Slaphappy. We were a group of guys who loved each other and to this day are still brothers. I tip my hat to Lamar Jones-Bass, Ronnie Evans-Keys, Jimmy Singleton-Percussion. These guys taught me so much about brotherhood and loving unconditionlly. This is a recording of the Sid Goodroe Band in N.J. I am going to post some Slaphappy recodings shortly. Those recordings are far superior to the versions I have here.
