Sidney Earl Goodroe is a musician, engineer, and producer. I reside in Macon, Georgia. I have been composing and recording music for some 40 years. Classical music training began at age 7. I picked up guitar at age 12. I began playing in dance bands about age 14. By the time I was 17, I was already involved in opening shows for some of the better known Capricorn Record artists. Tragicly, when time came for me to sign my own deal, Capricorn had to file bankruptcy and shut down. But, I moved on with a deal with Albert Drake in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I ended up doing some studio work for CBC. I came back to the States and started touring all over. Suffering from road burnout, I came home to Macon. I am now married and settled down, but, I own my own studio and freelance for all sorts of projects.

Story behind the song
These songs were recorded on tape in Tower Studios, Red Bank, N.J.. The Sid Goodroe Band was my power trio group. Guitar, Bass, and Drums with a small sprinkle of guitar synth which then was a new technology to guitar players. These tracks were completely recorded on analog tape as cds were not in production yet. Wow, is that old or what? My favorite memory while playing up there was playing the Big Man's Niteclub. Everyone knows Big Man Clarence Clemons. Springsteen's sax player opened some clubs and we were blessed to play there for him. God Rest His Soul! I was also waiting for my youngest daughter's birth, Lindsey. Many great memories.
