Story behind the song
About a tropical island name Taboga which I used to visit a lot when I was a kid.
Lyrics
Verse 1 Take me back, Take me back to the days of summer Wind and sand gentle erosion, Ocean breeze exhilaration Take me back, Take me back to the sounds of summer Crackling flames, sweet conga music Gentle words say that we belong here Crash, splash we dive into the deep end See that wrecked sunken vessel Color fishes all around, surround us It’s blue, oh my, everywhere is blue. Verse 2 Let me Take you back Take you back to my times of summer Wooden porches on top of water Fried plantain on rusted tables We cut thru water for the horizon But the sun beats us in an orange rage God please hold back the storms Chorus As I fall asleep in bottom of the boat I dream this will never end The fireflies dance, the forest chirps This whole world will never change We sing old songs about girls in white dresses Who dance and turn to very old ways As the summer end, the rains will always come back But the music keeps beating, and we still tapping it So we pack our bags and say goodbye to this world This world that never change

Hey this is Alex, from the Cakewalk forum! You know what band your vocals reminds me of? Have you heard of The Ocean Blue and The Feelies. Your music to me is a cross between them. Maybe you should check them out, I think you would like them a lot. Wonderful track here!
