Lyrics
Hold It Down Verse #1 I got so much on my mind, Global warming, so much crime Inflation, unemployment The cost to travel Food & enjoyment So much stress Trying to provide, I refuse to fail Too much pride, I got motivation I got gift, Yeah I got style I'm so swift I got composure But you could get lit, determined to deliver like the book of Eli I'll fight for it. So much unnecessary pain & suffering Too much mental depression causing confusion, Secluded feelings & thoughts causing them breakdowns No solution In conclusion, Meltdown this is serious you know I tell it like it be This is your man Bolaji on that reality. Hook Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son I know you don’t want to hear that but it’s real No fantasy talk when I be on the field - Hold it down - Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son No backing out, No backing down, Fire in the hole We got to hold it down.   Verse #2 Now I don’t care if you're White, Black, Blue Yellow or Red & f^~+ed up economy will put everybody to bed, There’s a blueprint in place for leadership & There’s a few foul things that they do with it They got puppets, they got people that pull strings, and they got faces They got people that’s unseen They got ID with names some only got numbers They got key words that trigger 20/20 There’s a time & place for everything & Out of site & out of mind isn't always the best remedy Some time you got to go public & say f*#k it, But just remember suppressors are popular in public Eyes forever watch, A word to the wise An ear is always listening To guide a soldier to a prize Protect your frame Stay up on advantage Listen in on world news You’re living on the same planet. Hook Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son I know you don’t want to hear that but it’s real No fantasy talk when I be on the field - Hold it down - Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son No backing out No backing down Fire in the hole We got to hold it down. Verse #3 Now there’s a lot going on around you Man, I aint playing Open your eyes & try to see what I’ve been saying They got you thinking that a break is soon to come But truthfully it’s going to be a while before you get one They want you to spend To stimulate economy But how could you spend... If you're barely eating properly Your jobs not holding you tight as you be holding it & you're paying what you aint making for your benefits I wish you sight & know how to hold it down Much respect & love to you & yours baby, Hold it down Hook Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son I know you don’t want to hear that but it’s real No fantasy talk when I be on the field - Hold it down - Get ready for harder times soon to come It’s about to get a lot worse before it gets better son No backing out No backing down Fire in the hole We got to hold it down.
