Expo comes from MD, with a heavy hip-hop influence. Dax is from Logan UT, and has been in several bands from Alternative rock to punk Rock. They worked together
It first started off about 170 BPM and was about 2 mins long at max, no violin and all singing.
Dax became very bored of the song and felt it wasn't reaching its potential, so we first slowed it down, which we liked.
Then I decided to try some of my ol rappin skills with it, added a couple new versus, had Dax do the lay over vocals, added drums, and still something was missing.
Kristin suggested tryin to add a violin to the mix, and after the first couple of sessions, it was solidified.
