This is a song about how slavery and loss of temper broke a friendship. A friendship, that in hindsight, was a giant waste of time anyway.

The very definition of "high school kids having fun in a band".
Influenced by the likes of Oasis and Weezer, the Block Monkeys are a high school band focused on making music as equally catchy and abrasive as those said bands. Mixing tight rhythms, walls of distorted guitar, howling solo passages and somber, reflective lyrics, the Block Monkeys are surely a band you will not want to miss. So check out our material now and get Blocked! :P

Story behind the song
After strumming some random chords in the studio, Jerome thought of some words to put on the progression. He quickly wrote the first verse on the back of a Burger King receipt and the band worked the song out on the next session.
Lyrics
Send my regards to the kitchen Those kids sure know how to cook It's too late to say sorry It's too late to fall apart I've said far too much Send my regards to the kitchen Those kids damn well know how to cook They spun around, fell in a trance I gazed and watched the beautiful dance Blood seeped my mouth It's too late to say sorry It's too late to fall apart I've said far too much
