never trust a man with a guitar.
I've long been fascinated by how music takes you away to another time or place and transforms your state of mind. When I was about six years old, I wore out a toy guitar, amp and microphone. I wanted to be just like Garth Brooks back then. I started piano lessons at around age eight. I played clarinet, alto and baritone saxophone in middle and high school. And then I discovered guitar at age fourteen, literally played until my fingers bled on more than one occasion. I also wrote my first song around that time; it was called "Twister." "Blame" came more than fifteen years ago, and I haven't put the guitar down since. It's been one of the few constants in my life. My influences run the gamut but most notably include Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bob Dylan and many popular alternative rock artists of the '90's. Most important for me, it's about creativity, artistic expression and capturing moments of raw emotion. Music is my outlet, and I can only hope that some tiny part of at least one of these songs speaks to you as it has to me.

pandora's song v1 to come complete with misplaced pieces fantasy of reason that defies all odds but today f*** fate she meets her maker where a moment’s timepiece fails to wind v2 walk on through the misty veil where earth meets sky where worlds align undress disguise beyond its shadow unmask truth like the sleep from our eyes b the seasons change and colors fade from blossom-green to brown to white looming are these clouds to freedom blinding is the sunshine’s light c brave hearts and blessed souls aimless they wander a last deep breath and then i’ll go aimless they wonder now © 2008 | Jason Stone
