Story behind the song
You take 12 words and 30 mins and write a song. Not sure how Last of the Summer Wine came to mind, but the words kinda fitted....
Lyrics
Yer ears they may be ringing when you hear that same old tune The boys from last the summer wine try to bring ye back aroond They're going on their holidays when they pass a smokin chimney The wee one on the terrace in a bath with a harp still playin They try to win the house at the casino down the way The oldest wan o the characters does a thing that is funny The wee one drops his pile o chips on the correct number But their happy and their loaded and their back at the bar ok. So join in with the singin if you hear that same old tune Yer ears they may be ringing by the end We're going on an aeroplane the holidays are here An oblong ticket in my hand again
