A Scintillating nimbus
Now a miserable old git, hair growing out of places it once didn't and not in places it once did; Autumn approaching... What's the point I still ask myself? To be on my own planet? To want to share? To relieve my frustration? To attempt to counteract- in some minute way- the doctrine that Socialism, as a valid political and economic theory is impotent? Things have changed since I first collated this page. The bubble burst, but instead of attempting to right the inequalities created over the previous three decades- the haves are still getting richer at the expense of the have nots. My band is called 'The Peppermoths'.

Story behind the song
Socialism has been beaten into submission as a valid Political and Economic theory (especially here in the UK) to the detriment of Society as a whole. We are animals who can rationalize. Instinct can be tamed. Don't believe the dogma that it is inevitable that we will destroy ourselves. That is the easy option. We 'will' change the course of the world; it is up to us how we change it. As in TVM the song includes an extract from a speech by Noam Chomsky (available from www.akpress.org) whom I thank for permission for the use of.
Lyrics
Dead Red Sea For too long been taking the hit Must realise this is it this is it For too long been taking the hit Got to realise this is it this is it Nature decrees rights stronger than left Does that justify the deceipt and the theft Nature decrees right will beat left Can that justify the deceipt and the theft Dead Red Sea an elegy? Dead Red polluted quite cynically Polluted by hypocrisy Polluted by vanity Polluted by you and me Written by Chris Whitty aka 3gGene/Fezz
