Story behind the song
One day, I was looking at songs in a hymn book and a song, simular to this one popped out at me and I was inspired to create my own song and lyrics because of it. So, a few days after writing and playing some music, this is what I came up with. Created using some Cakewalk Samples, GNX4 guitar processor, Gibson electric guitar and sang the vocals, mixed in Acid Pro 7, mastered in Sound Forge using Izotope Ozone 5 custom preset and Cakewalk Sonar Studio 7 XL custom preset. All rights reserved. Jesus Christ died for our sins and sinful nature. In doing so, He allows us to come to Him for help and forgivness, to take away our burdens and carry them upon Himself. He takes our heavy yokes, that weighs us down, to help lighten our daily load. He also calls out to the oppressed and the meek and lowly and offers them a peaceful rest from the sins of this world. The first time I sung this song, I could feel the Spirit of the Lord come over me and tears came to my own eyes, thinking about how the Lord actually suffered and just what all that really means to me. I learned that whatever little suffering that I go through, in my life, is simple nothing compared to all the Lord had to endured and yet He still offers me hope and rest on a daily basis. You to can put your faith and trust in Him. To know Him is to know God, to trust Him is to trust God and to love Him is to love God. Because to not know Him is to not know God. There is in this life only one Lord and Savior and that is Jesus Christ, and He is the Son of the Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth. Won't you call on Him today and let Him give you rest, as well. Peace He gives to you through faith + nothing. Let your faith be in His death, burial and resurrection with no required works except believing He is who He says He is, the true and only Son of God the Father, who gave His life for your eternal soul.
