Verse
I'm sittin in this chair just staring at a blank piece of paper/
Thinkin about how I can make a.../
Song that can get across all that I feel/
In a way that can gain universal appeal/
The lines that I write, don't always justify what my mind has in sight/
But my rhyming is tight/
So I write a verse and hope that it conveys all the grind and the fight/
I've applied in my life/
Ever since I was a child I've always had the ambition/
Never sat hoping and wishing/
I've worked hard to get to the stage where I'm at/
And when I say that I mean more than just rap/
I came up in a young household of four/
Parents worked two jobs to avoid being poor/
Around people on the wrong side of the law/
But I kept low key and ignored any war/
Never went hungry of slept on the streets/
But I remember when having fast food was a treat/
I never used to like that my school shoes were cheap/
But I never had to complain of a lack of heat/
I used to watch TV, listen to CD's/
And I knew one day that, that could be me/
Cause I was told I could be whatever I wanna be/
So from that moment on my mind was set free/
Even though back then the times weren't easy/
I knew it would be better if I started believing/
So I kept pushing, striving for higher heights/
And... look at me now, I'm rippin all kinda mics/
Cause I put in that hard work and stayed patient/
Never allowed my mind to become vacant/
The struggle was the basis of my foundation/
So I'll keep pushing till I finally make it/
Chorus
I'll keep on till I make it/
I won't stop till I make it/
I'll keep on till I make it/
I won't stop till I make it/ x2
