Craive - Fours
craive dallas music local
Aggressive, heavy music with emphasis on singing with hook and melody.
Like a shot to the arm, Craive first hit the Dallas music scene in the summer of 2003. The response from an audience usually beleagured by the same old, same old was immediate: Craive went from an unknown show opener to a headliner in just six short months. The intensity of Craive's following makes sense, given how intense the band itself is about their music. Bryce Frazier's intense vocals never sell out, never fall short, never pull any punches; but he ain't no dimestore screamer, either. The man can carry a tune, and real emotion fills even the most primal scream. Josh Cuadra, on drums, brings technique and discipline right at the core of every song, running the spectrum from a mathematically confusing mess to a solid, groove-oriented backbone. Shaun Bishop brings technical mastery to Craive on guitar, a skilled craftsman of both thundering crunch and skilled hook. Tony Valdez, bassist, pulls all of these diverse elements together with jazz-infused accuracy. The track “Fours” can be heard now in rotation on 97.1 The Eagle. Hundreds of Craive demos have been passed out at numerous shows, and it's paid off in spades. Every single show since the beginning has seen a rise in attendance, and the trend's only going to go up from there. And this crowd ain't some limp gathering of head-nodders. There's energy and vitality to Craive, that the audience feeds off of and sends right back. Bryce sings to them, the crowd sings back. Craive's no rock band. They're a movement.

Lyrics
Fours I hear it sing to me But what's it supposed to mean? You speak these words although you contradict yourself. Hypocracy, shines down on me The truth is dull and you're gleaming. You hypocrite. I see your perfect life. I see your perfect dreams. But they could never fit with dreams of someone else. You're blaming me. I cannot see. The truth is dull and you're gleaming. You hypocrite. In my mind I see through What I can see in you. We were fading faster than you'll ever see I'm faded,You're nothing What your supposed to be. I'm faded, and jaded You've brought hypocracy You're nothing. We're nothing. What we're supposed to be. I'm jaded, we've faded. You've brought hypocracy.
