Story behind the song
This short song that introduces us to a set of electronic songs is a representation of what you can expect to experience while listening further down the EP. The inspiration for this song is in the lyrics, which is a poem written by the founder of MGMIB as well as Shattered Core, Dominic Rosales. The poem is entitled Love Sap, and is about how in adults eyes it is wrong to be as close to someone you love when you are younger and how love doesn't have an age, and that no matter what you don't need someone to tell you it is wrong what you are doing, because as long as you and your love one are happy, there are no right or wrong ways.
Lyrics
Freedom is in the heart,
Where love is just for slaves,
As the tree breaks from its root,
The fruit is what he craves.
The hour glass will bend,
Each gram of nerve will strain,
When it shatters into lust,
Cool sands will run each vain.
Butterflies come poison,
Trying to escape the jar,
The branches feel the wind,
And are reminded this is too far.
Swaying back and forth,
Sugary sap fills the air,
More rings get close by,
But the wind and branches don't see to care.
Colors of black and white,
Share the same feeling of gray,
Bith seeing red and blue,
Tasting every sweet word they say.
Correct me if I'm wrong,
For I am just a...
But when love is truly found,
Is there not a right or wrong way?
