Ambient electronic music for guitars and synthesizers.
Sleep Distance is my ambient/electronic music project. I am a guitarist, and I like incorporating synths and ambient guitar sounds in my music. I also very much enjoy Michael Manring's fretless bass pieces, and so I play some fretless bass in a few of my compositions. Some of my pieces are a little more composed, others are largely improvised.

Story behind the song
An ambient piece using only guitars and programmed ethnic percussion. One track is a pad swell effect. Another is clean chords like those Allan Holdsworth or Eric Johnson are known to play. And lead guitar, with a tone reminding one of David Gilmour. The feeling is of missing good days we had, while being thankful for having lived them.

Interesting composition. Beautiful guitar tones coupled with tribal percussion. Excellent work, Far Sleep!
