I write all kinds of music from gospel to country, comedy to childrens songs as well as instrumentals. I play guitar (acoustic and lead) and sing with a count
I was born in the mid 1950's, and began playing guitar when I was 14 years old. I have played with many of the early (70's & 80's)country singers. I wrote my first song when I was 15 and now have over 120, from gospel to country. I love the challenge of writing a song that people can relate to, yet to say it in a brand new way. I play with a local group called Common Bond and jam whenever I can find some others pickers.

Story behind the song
When my youngest son was born, the hospital gave us a teddy bear and he just fell in love with it. They were always together. I wrote this song when he was about 3 years old. He is 16 now and has finally given up his teddy bear. LOL
Lyrics
Teddy Bear 1 Mama said I couldn't have a cookie yet, Cause I waded through a puddle, got my shoes all wet. I ask you all to tell me now does that seem fair, I guess I'll have to go and tell my teddy bear. Chorus Teddy bear, teddy bear You're the only one who really cares. I guess you could say we make a dandy pair, You listen to my troubles, I love you teddy bear. 2 My daddy got upset I dumped some oil out, I couldn't tell you what he got so mad about. But he sat me in the corner in my rocking chair, But at least he didn't take away my teddy bear. When the day comes to an end I get my 'jammies on Mama tells me a story, daddy sings me a song. Then they tuck me in my bed, it's not so bad in there. As long as I can cuddle next to teddy bear. 3 There'll soon come a day, when I'll be grown, I'll have me a family of my own. Then I'll pass along this critter with the fuzzy hair, And smile when they talk to their teddy bear. (c)1994
