Story behind the song
Nuit Américaine is a famous cinematogrphic special effect that film directors often use to shoot a night scene during daytime. It is also the title of a "Nouvelle Vague" french movie (which is called "Night for Day" in its english version). It can also be interpreted as "American Night", an era of relative darkness as described by George Bush Sr. as the "New World Order". Finally, it is also a charge against the Hollywoodian military-entertainment star system and its hegemony in theaters all over the world.
