Records This seasoned producer Pigeon Inc. has spent the past 10 years or so experimenting with many music forms, like DnB, Electro, Breaks, Ambient, Electronica and beyond. Until Dubstep started around 2005/6 he was struggling to find a direction, Dubstep gave him that direction, a platform to base his music in. After 6 years of making countless tracks, and various free releases online, he has upped his game and knuckled down to make a definitive album that truly represents his musical vision and showcases his unusual ideas for Dubstep and the genre’s possible future. Most of the tracks on this release do not have the usual sounds and wobbles that Dubstep is riddled with The opening track “Robots” is a mellow affair with a gentle bassline and sharp snare, the track moves around and pulls you in. Halfway through the album there’s a track “Blank” which features some Indian Tabla percussion played by Pigeon Inc. himself, he is classically trained in Tabla but rarely uses this talent in his music. Further down the line in this album there are two tracks which have an Industrial/Metal feel to them as they have loud guitar type sounds grinding away at your senses and give a sense of angst and raw emotion. Elsewhere on the album there are tracks with Techno influenced melodies and dark atmospheres that draw you into the moods of the producer. All in All this album shows the full range of his production talents and throws down the gauntlet for the Dubstep scene to look up and take notice of this artist once and for all. Available here
