Story behind the song
Was inspired to write something special for my wife for our wedding. This is what developed.
Lyrics
[The recording is the original version. I have, over time changed some words here and there so you might notice.] From This Day (Forever) (V) From this day, forever, I will spend my life with you. Always to be yours, always to be true. When youre feelin blue I will always be around. To kiss away your tears, to chase away your frowns. (Bridge) Oh! All I want to do is to make your dreams come true. Stay with me forever and that is what I am gonna to do. For you. (Chorus) And its all because I love you. You are my reason for life. Yes! Its all because I love you. And I will until the day I die. (V) This very special day will last forever in my mind. Through the passing years, till the end of time. Through lifes ups and downs I will never go away. A promise that Ill keep. I promise that Ill stay. (Chorus) (V) From this day forever we will be out on our own, with you my lovely bride we will start a home. Together we will stay, until we both turn gray. Growing old together, for me thats the way. (Bridge) All I want to do is to make your dreams come true. Just the way you have for me. Yes! All I want to do is to make your dreams come true. Stay by my side and there wont be anything in this whole world we wont do, me and you. (Chorus) (Tag) And I will until the day I die. Copyright 2011 by Douglas Murphy

Kudos to you for pulling this off. Im sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house either. Beautiful song, and I'm sure your wife absolutely loved it just as the congregation did. Well done.
