Fantasy-themed rock ballads and anthems
Our demo CD "The Dark Before Hope" draws on the work of Tolkien, especially the Lord of the Rings epic. Bethany, lead vocalist and lyricist, is building up a body of songs about other books she was moved by as well--she's a fantasy writer with a penchant to wax eloquent in many forms about literature. Daniel, primary musician and current producer, plays around on his bass and sometimes a guitar to find musical hooks to build more songs around.

Lyrics
Sharp black wings I can see you spreading Frail, curved flight I can see you drifting aloft in the storm Silver sky—the world is a colorless wonder Folding air—the clouds are a silken train Sharp black wings I can see you spreading Frail, curved flight I can see you drifting aloft in the storm Jagged trees—barbed branches whip and creak Dried, bare stalk—fields skeletal with weeds The earth is ancient and I sense my own bones The roads are bleak and I know I'm not home The coming rain will chill my heart, my soul But one stray bird has made it worth the storm
