Mere Khuda (Original Composition) with Tara
Composition/Arrangement: Rishi S Balaji Lyrics: Vishwa Deepak Vocals: George and Tara Mix: George
’m a techie by profession and see music as an integral part of my life. Singing is a real stress buster in an otherwise hectic life. I have been singing since the age of 6 and, aside from an initiation into carnatic music for about 2 yrs, I have had very little musical training. My musical influence spans all genres of music from carnatic to heavy metal.
I am primarily a vocalist. I’ve been doing covers for the most part thus far (although I have done a few originals as well). I believe that harmony adds depth to vocals and always dabble with it in my renditions. I hope to write my own music as some point, particularly gospel music. I do believe thats my calling in life and hope to bring people closer to Christ through my music.
I hail from Changanacherry, which is a small town in Kerala, India. Although I am from Kerala, I spent most of my teenagehood in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I’ve been in the US since 2002.
I hope you find my music entertaining. Do post your honest feedback. I would also be happy to hear from you about songs you would like to hear me sing. Stay tuned :-)
Story behind the song
Tara introduced me to Rishi and his work. Rishi was kind enough to give me the opportunity to sing this composition of his. Even though I was caught up during the time, I knew I had to try and sing this one the very first time I heard the composition. The lyrics are by Vishwa Deepak. Really really glad I got to be a part of this project and I want to thank Rishi, Vishwa and Tara for this opportunity. Do check out Rishi’s compositions
Lyrics
mukhra:
male:
yoon hi kabhi, ho jaaye yoon, tu ho yahaan, koi na ho,
main bas sunoo, teri sadaa, baatein teri, soi na ho.
female:
yoon hi kabhi, ho jaaye yoon, poori sadi, pal mein khule,
umadein yahaan, abr-e-nasha, saaraa jahaan, ham mein ghule.
antara 1:
female:
teri hansi, odhoon kabhi, rooh mein teri, so loon kabhi,
male:
tujhko rakhe, baahon mein jo, main wo hawaa, ho loon kabhi.
female:
tere dil se, mere dil tak, daalein kabhi, rastaa koi,
male:
ratti bhar bhi, doori ho to, rahne na dein, dariya koi.
mere khudaa………
antara2:
male:
tere lab pe, gulmohar ki, surkh kalee, khilti rahe,
female:
teri jaan se, saansein meri, banke nadi, milti rahe.
male:
tu jo agar, dharti na de, talwaon tale, sooi chubhe,
female:
resham bhi to, khaar bane, tere bina, rooi chubhe.
mere khudaa……
