This is usually a rock song done by my band that goes back to 2006 (as you can see by the copyright date, we're procrastinators), but I decided to record a folk version using my newly tuned Mandolin and my new violin.

Story behind the song
I wrote the main riff and all of the "Gravedigger...." lines (which were written while I was swimming in a lake), and the D minor break and "Six Feet Under...." lines were my band buddies doing. The two bridge lines or whatever they are were also mine, and the final two "Gravediggers" were on the spot and not typically sung.
Lyrics
Gravedigger, Mud On His Shoes
Gravedigger, Comin' For You (Point to the Audience)
Gravedigger, He Works At Night
Gravedigger, Oh What A Sight
They Say He Kills Just So He Can Work
And They Say He Eats Those He Has Killed
Six Feet Under, That's Where He Digs
Six Feet Under, That's Where You'll Live
Gravedigger, He Smells Your Fear
Gravedigger, Thousand Burials Each Year
