Experimental, Poetry, Lyrics, Minimalist, Low-Fi, Garage Rock, Independent, Alternative Music...just weird shit, basically.
What is The Whispering Smith Collection? Whispering Smith is my collection musical ideas. Mostly everything here is just a one-take demo as I am only just fooling with a computer program and experimenting. I have no delusions of grandeur - I don't do this for recognition, only expression. It's pure, and raw which sometimes makes it crappy and sometimes makes it cool. I enjoy what I'm doing, and that's enough.

Story behind the song
The idea is based around the classic story line of watery death for a heroine, like Ophelia or Anderson's Little Mermaid.
Lyrics
SURFACE Clarity of violence my rushing torment rise up to the surface in a bubble of breath In a storm that’s broken by your kiss you’ve left me on a precipice You came with the waves and blood on the foam Your flesh and bones my only home Embrace me in your undertow this watery time -- ebbs and flows Exposed to the winds and your ways of despair Ashes of memories all fears lay bare as old as the ocean as wise as the sea as wild as a river as deep as me Is a love that’s laced with cyanide What pain of yours is this heart of mine I’m drawn into your hurricane You’re a siren’s song -- with a sweet refrain A sunken cavern by the shore hides the dreams I dream no more Submerged into a mystery I long for a girl I know Oh Stella Marie-- Queen of my deep blue sea Thru time and tide I’ll resurrect rise up to the surface shine and reflect I went with the flow and it pulled me under to a watery grave filled with wonder Drowned my soul left to debris all the creatures came to feast on me I called your name to set me free But you never came -- to rescue me
