the original semi-mutant, quasi-guerrilla new orleans pop combo... muggy music and words askew, with a hey-na-nonny and a ha-cha-cha!
4 or five guys looking for liquor, love and laughs. . . then writing songs about it. Each brought together in new orleans by hook and by crook, to play a moody, muddy, almost moist music. They have a rhythm that smolders like a slow landfill fire, with words askew and music muggy. Playing high and low, using whatever is left over from the night before, they tear into their sounds, (which are somewhat found), with an emotional ferocity few have mastered! Come hear for yourself, that witty and charming band about town...

Story behind the song
written as the 4th song in the 'folklore' series, a popera about a boy and his shirt. leaving his home to find lights he saw from his window, he finds a spaceship floating above a field. it lands, he enters. . .
Lyrics
i snuck out and hid behind the skyrise, late summer 1998. on top those green hills, beneath the twin spires, where they used to congregate . . . that's where i sat to wait. a gilded object filled the night sky, cigar-shaped tube ablaze with lights. golden the ship was, turning jet white, odd-cut design, not for flight . . how did it get so high? *i look at this world from the outside, all the good and the bad, friends i once had, everything left behind. i'm looking at this world from the outside, all the highs and the lows, life's little blows, all that time wasting time. i dreamed i saw you from my window, only you were really here. you said you'd come for me from the outside, to go with you if i dare. . . what made you think i'd care. *i look at this world from the outside, all the good and the bad, friends i once had, everything left behind. i'm looking at this world from the outside, all the highs and the lows, life's little blows, all that time wasting time. i woke today and opened my eyes and it's a new world that surrounds me. it's been here all along. now i realize it's painted all around me, it's painted all around me . . . i look at this world from the outside, all the good and the bad, friends i once had, everything left behind. i'm looking at this world from the outside, all the highs and the lows, life's little blows, all that time wasting time.
