A burned-out casualty of urban life teeters on the edge of sanity. For one so fragile even a walk down the street to the tube station is fraught with mental triggers and gateways to psychosis.

I find myself shored up with no band, no time, no freedom, no leisure and a world of responsibility. My life is no longer my own. My every pleasure is hard-fought and long-awaited. My every liberty resented. To stay positive and keep my creative and technical muscles flexed I decide to record an album with anyone I can get hold of in whatever scraps of spare time I have available, even solo tracks if need be (although I am not much of a musician or a singer).

Story behind the song
Music recorded in December 2009 and originally intended as a backdrop to a spoken-word tale of urban psychosis inspired by the early Blur b-side "Got Yer". This remained an instrumental mix for almost a year until Obliviosity AKA Mike Silvia lent us his songwriting talents via myonlineband.com and stopped the track going to waste. The original recording session was lost when the hard drive was damaged in April 2010 and the only surviving audio file was a lo-res mp3 of a rough instrumental mix. I liked the rough mix and so decided to go lo-fi rather than attempting to re-record and lose the magic of the original session. Mike's vocals and additional guitar parts were delivered via lo-fi mp3 from California and I mixed them lovingly into the backing music in my Aylesbury garage in February 2011.
