Lyrics
Mostly Thankful Verse 1: I remember when the lights went out Heard the babies cry and the mothers shout Dark and scared, trying to find my way From the underground, to the light of day Chorus: Mostly feeling, trying not to cry Thank the Lord for that big blue sky Verse 2: Found lots of people just walking around It's funny how nobody made a sound Nothing but fear and the sirens' scream Thinking back, felt like it was a dream Chorus: Mostly thinking, how we'd all get home I hit the streets and started to roam I'm mostly thankful, not knowing why Saw the stars in the city sky Verse 3: Made the bridge in an hour or two With lots of people wondering what to do The mayor's talking and the lights will be on soon I miss the country, man I need some room Chorus: Mostly thinking, how we'd all get home I hit the streets and started to roam I'm mostly thankful, not knowing why Saw the stars in the city sky
