Story behind the song
It is my personality to wear my heart on my sleeves and my closest friends and family know this about me. It tends to easily open you up for the enemy to wound your spirit and steal your joy through careless words, circumstances, and reminders of past failures. The Lord has patiently worked with me to build my confidence in Him rather than man. To always remember He is my judge, my rock, my teacher. It is a continual process. Without the tender care and trust in the Lord, it can be a stronghold of the enemy that takes root with unbelief and doubt. Through my own lessons, the Lord allows me grace to see from stage as He is working with people that He wants to also be free. With this tenderness, He causes me to have overwhelming compassion beyond people’s outside appearances or circumstances. The Lord wants us all to be FREE! (John 8:36… If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.)
