It's a Trio, Me, Myself and I
Lyrics
Room For Some Tears
(Jim Russ)
They tell me I was brought up with the right kind of seasoning
And I’ve been on my own since the day of reasoning
Some people get it soon and some people get it late
Oh lucky me I made it through that right gate
Been told to hit them so they won’t play around again
But it got to the point where I didn’t even have a friend
I heard that phrase so much, “you got to learn to do it right
When bed time came I heard it all through the night
(chorus)
Yeah I think I really know, been living in the city of Chicago
Through out all the years sweating out my fears
Still a little room for some tears, whoa, whoa
Still a little room for some tears
Been made to go to church loyally to eighth grade
Till one day my parents left and home I stayed
I finally broke away right before high school
Just after I learned to shoot my first game of pool
My life wouldn’t be complete without someone
Asking me for my money and pointing to me with a gun
I don’t really live in a too bad of part of town
But it gets a little hectic when that sun goes down
(chorus)
Been working on my chopper, this week it’ll be eight months
I wish I could hear it run before I die just once
Those eight months haven’t been bad in fact they were pretty good
I didn’t work fast but I partied whenever I could
I know I’ll be old and this is a passing stage
I’ll be telling little children I was once their age
I’ll be looking back on each and every year
All the fun I had it’ll probably bring a tear
(chorus)
