Story behind the song
"Terry and His Little Brothers," is about the adventures of a family -- Terry, a dog, and his little brothers -- who happen to be cats. The overture features, "woofing" french horns. I don't believe I'll ever live that down. This update features good progress. Since I have not decided how to segue, (connect the next scene), the ending is left unedited.
Lyrics
Terry and His Little Brothers Terry -- Terry anna --the dog with his big and tall body and a large heart Spottu cat with orange spots, brown eyes Tobee gray cat, green eyes Cats, two little brothers of Terry Mamma Little Ananya Lakshmi Sonu Papa Large Tree Little Kakatuwa, a little tree Trees of the forest Forest Officer Little Tweety – a sparrow A Little Crow, with a broken wing Four Crows Chapter One (One Good Wood Terrace). (Tobee and Spottu are sneaking back into the house, through the window, returning to Terry anna’s bed, from their nightly prowl). Spottu Tobee! Tobee, quiet! Don’t wake up Terry anna, or we will be in trouble! Tobee Is she still sleeping? Spottu Yes. But it is going to be time to wake up soon! Tobee OK. But I think I’m stuck. Spottu It’s your back pack. I told you to take it off before you climb through the window. Tobee Oh. I forgot. Just a minute. Spottu Before night has fled We’ll both return to bed. When the red light of broadening dawn, Before Sun Uncle is out in the sky, Forewarns the early morning Spottu and Tobee We return to bed Before indivisible night has fled from Sun Uncle wondrous high in the sky We return to Terry anna’s bed. Before Sun Uncle is out in the sky, When the red light of broadening dawn Forewarns the early morning Terry anna Where were you, you naughty boys? Didn’t I tell you not to go out in the dark alone? Tobee and Spottu Yes Terry anna, you did say but one day if you came out in the dark with us, you would know why we like the night so much. When Night covers the day's strife The thought of the hunt excites our blood We love the night prowl, In the dark, shadows come to life. Night owls in flight, snatch their prey on the wing, When the moon is at its height. Creatures of the day are no match For the creatures of the night. Night owls in silent flight, who snatch their prey on the wing. We love the night prowl, When thought of the hunt excites our blood Night covers the day's strife And in the dark, shadows come to life (Everyone goes to bed) (Everyone goes to bed) (As soon as Terry anna, Tobee, and Spottu lie in bed, three raccoons drop through the open window. The stand on hind legs, sniffing cautiously. Quickly they turn to the kitchen with purpose. From their actions, it is obvious they are familiar with the house, knowing exactly where food and utensils are located. At the table, their actions are frantic, but precise and mechanical, as they make and devour sandwiches. The scene ends, when they stop at the same time, and stand in alarm. They quickly disappear through the window, except for the young raccoon, who waivers. He still smells food, and turns towards the kitchen table, as Sonu enters the kitchen. Raccoon arms reach inside the room, and haul the young raccoon outside through the window). (End of Prologue Part One).
