I am the proud father of two adult children. I have been playing the guitar for various church bands for over 25 years. All of these songs are original and reflect a preference to Christian music with a country rhythm.
Story behind the song
This song is for all those disciples who have dared to step out in faith into situations much deeper than they had imagined. When they encounter the waves of circumstance they panic, and the desperate cry of their spirit is a terrified “Lord save me!” At such times it is so comforting to find our Lord’s steady hand drawing us from the depths of our despair, and to hear His soothing voice saying “Fear not!” And, in case we are tempted to listen to the accuser’s disdain at our lack of faith it is heartening to realize that for every Peter there are eleven others who are satisfied with the safety of the boat, and never consider putting their faith on the line in an effort to walk in the footsteps of their Lord.
