I am the proud father of two adult children. I have been playing the guitar for various church bands for over 25 years. All of these songs are original and reflect a preference to Christian music with a country rhythm.

Story behind the song
Bear one another's burdens ... Weep with those that weep... Weeping may last for the night but joy comes in the morning ... They were concepts that I had learned through hard experience. Now the drama unfolding before me was all so painfully familiar. A spouse diagnosed with cancer – and a less-than-hopeful prognosis. But what could I say or do to spare them the sorrow of my own experience? Certainly I could and would pray, but the enemy of my soul challenged – that wasn't totally successful for you was it? In the end I found myself resolving, with God's help, to maintain an availability for both of them during their time of testing. To share with them from my experience that all things do work together for good to those that love Him.
Lyrics
Now you tell me that the pain you feel is more than you can bear If you tried to tell someone about it they would never care And it hurts to watch you struggle knowing all that you've been through So I promise that I'll listen – its the least that I can do (But) If I told you how He touched me when the pain was all I knew Would it help you to believe that He could do the same for you If I took your hand and led you to the One who set me free Could you hold on to the promise of His perfect liberty Now I won't begin to tell you that I know just how you feel Though your circumstance is similar and the pain is just as real But I promise you can call me when there's no where else to turn So that we can stand together while there's still so much to learn And I'll tell you how He touched me when the pain was all I knew It may help you to believe that He can do the same for you Let me take your hand and lead you to the One who set me free You can hold on to the promise of His perfect liberty Though tonight is spent in weeping – wondering how you'll carry on You can rest assured that joy is coming with tomorrow's dawn You'll be able then to comfort others in their time of need In compassion - hard experience will direct your every deed You can tell them how He touched you when the pain was all you knew It may help them to believe they can receive the same as you You can take their hand and lead them to the One who set you free So they'll hold on to the promise of His perfect liberty > SoI'll tell you how He touched me when the pain was all I knew It may help you to believe that He can do the same for you And I'll take your hand and lead you to the One who set me free While you hold on to the promise of His perfect liberty
