Story behind the song
I recently watched an interview with Rodney Crowell talking about rewriting. He said an artist once told him it takes two people to do a painting. One to paint it and one to shoot him when it's finished. After listening to the first take I realized the song was missing something and needed a rewrite for the chorus. Maybe it's time for somebody to shoot me now.
