Lyrics
A Minute He was a broke down, beaten, poor sign of a man everything he had slipped right through his hand nothing seemed to make sense anymore he cried one last time, hid himself behind a closed door sitting there on the floor feeling sorry for himself he picked up a gun cause he had no one else A minute to long need a second to save the day A minute like hours need you this second now straightaway His story started just a little odd this day car wont start, late for work, no other way knows if he misses, not gonna get paid so he counts out some change, on the bus, he's on his way Someone stands up tells everyone not to move if anyone talks then he's gonna shoot No longer than a minute before he heard his demise No fewer than a second feel life passing him by Last minute thinking, man what have i done jumps off the bus, turns and begin to run stopped in his tracks, no place left to go only sign of life was an old town CITGO Anger in his eyes, hurt in his heart told the clerk to pay him or he'll tear the store apart Police on the chase, he runs post haste to the doors of his home, a small quite place behind that closed door, time not his friend Saw an angel before him, said this wasn’t the end His heart stops, had awaken from a nightmare No longer than a minute before he's out to start his day No fewer than a second, knew he'd be ok
