Hi! I'm a guitarist, singer and songwriter currently living in Fredericton, N.B., Canada. I've been performing music in one way or another since the mid '60's, starting out singing tenor in a barbershop quartet with my brothers and then into a progression of bands playing rock, jazz, blues and country and... whatever. It's been a fun ride so far and I'm still as exited about it as the day I began. Ralph Atkinson

Story behind the song
I know very little about Arabian music so this is nowhere near authentic and is probably a mish-mash of different eastern, middle eastern and African themes and rhythms. Lead instrument is an oboe that I've bent into shape (or out of shape!)

magical arrangement, like a genie in a bottle, mysterious & maybe a bit dangerous ;)
Awesome piece of music that transport you to a different place and time !

This is World Fusion. The oboe sounds very Arabic, but the rest seems to come out of other parts of the world. A very special mix of sounds. Moody, hypnotising and haunting. Very original. Good job!
Ralph, you again evidence your mastery of music and brilliance as a musician in this exceptional song! All of your Arabic instruments blend together perfectly with the mood suggested by your clever title carried through from the musical hook beginning to the full circle ending. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO TO YOU! And thanks for the dl, if allowed. Best Wishes Always, Bob (and the JBBQ "Guys")

Mesmering use of rhythm with strange and exciting timbres and melodies. Don't know if this is Arabian, or jazz, or modern classical, but it sounds bloody good to my ears! Nicely surprising and yet another piece of originality from you - great stuff Ralph!

Wonderful middle eastern, mysterious sound to this one. Love the combination of instrumentations -- they paint a very pretty picture. :)
