Story behind the song
This was recorded for the January 2011 Coconut Blues Club Challenge. I don't own an oud so I tuned my PRS Soapbar II down to an oud tuning and came up with a kind of cross cultural mix of ideas. I found some really cool music in the process. Hamza El Din Rabih Abou Khalil and soundclicks own Alin Rogoz I also found a guy on Youtube who defretted his classical guitar so he could it play like an oud. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxqVrdxDP5A

I felt a bit of Jeff Beck's 'morning dew' as the intro started and then it took some turns and twists that led for a great audio journey. Nice one Eddie!!!

Love the guitars in this...especially the ubiquitous bass line which casts a dark and mysterious tone. Very authentic middle eastern flavor to this one.
