Heart and Hammer came together as a result of Julianna and Barry being married on September 16, 2001. Both being guitar players, performers, and songwriters, it was as natural as falling off a log. The CD, Time Flies, was produced by both of us, and includes the talents of Carl Smith (percussion), Skip Parente (fiddle), Kerry Williams (mandolin), John Carter (pedal steel), Mark Frethem (electric bass), Skip VonKuske (cello), Rick Hulett (acoustic guitar, electric bass), Jenny Conlee (accordian), and Chayne Williams (harmony vocals).

Story behind the song
The song describes, in detail, the surroundings we were in when I felt the inspiration to write.
Lyrics
Let the Morning Come written at Dave’s ranch nestled in the Tygh Valley… thanks, Dave. Your place is a haven for this songwriter I got a mountain to my right An old barn to my left Let the morning come There’s birds singing in the air A muddy river over there Let the morning come The dog’s in the field huntin’ for mice And there’s a man in the house who’s made coffee twice And the sun’s risin’ up and the heats beatin’ down Let the morning come The wind is wavin’ in the weeds And I am feasting on the seeds of life Let the morning come I know there’s breakfast to be made There’ll be no sleepin’ in the shade today Let the morning come Yeah, God did a mighty fine job out here With old Mother Nature’s music in my ear The sun’s risin’ up and the heats beatin’ down Let the morning come Some people like the sound of the city The screech and honk of town But I’m just a simple, silly, complicated girl Who needs the room to roam around Well, there are lilacs in the trees And buzzin’ of the bees Let the morning come I got a heart full of love Someone that fits me like a glove Let the morning come And I don’t think it’s too much to ask To have a little piece of time to digest life’s facts While the sun’s risin’ up and the heat’s beatin’ down Let the morning come Yeah, the sun’s risin’ up and the heat’s beatin’ down Let the morning come
