An amateur Songwriter/Musician a work in progress
I've played in a few cover bands, started off playing lead guitar ended up playing bass, drums and even keyboards a few times and although it was fun never had any great success. I'm now more of an amateur song writer and trying very hard to come up with some songs that might impress someone enough to want to record them.

Story behind the song
An inmate looking in flashback on his life
Lyrics
Welcome to Paradise 1. Well let me tell you a story mister, Happened not to long ago About a boy who was a straight A student, clean cut, and whiter than snow Well the world lay at his feet Surely nothing could stand in his way He'd make it to the top, it would be easy for him Never thought he'd find himself say ch Welcome to paradise Bars on the window, But ain't the view nice Welcome to paradise Addicts, the thieves and all the low life's Welcome to paradise 2. Well every door was open to him, the streets were paved with gold He could by it low and sell it high, A runaway success so I'm told He bathed himself in riches and glory Fast cars and fast women he'd go through LIved in a secure mansion up on the hill He said "How ironic I'm secured here too!" ch Welcome to paradise Never listened to Mum's good advice Welcome to paradise All the scandle, the rumours, the lies Welcome to paradise 3. Well when you're at the top where can you go, the only way is straight down A dirty deed, a dodgy deal, in these circles word soon gets around Greed became his only passion In his eyes more was never enough He pushed it so hard the bubble it burst "Lights out, lock down!" How he cried now times are so tough ch Welcome to paradise Home for the foolish, the wicked ,the wise Welcome to paradise No escape from the heartbreak and cries Welcome to paradise
