Story behind the song
Thank God It’s Friday… Again is the get away song. A lirical symol of being drunk. Illustrating the differance between nothing else matters and nothing matters, while it captures the feel of a small, slow sip of whiskey on the shore. And the six pack which is followed by first singing then screaming that leads to the search. Either spiritual or just some relaxing tunes with the old guitar fella which might be described as music by some who have always been known their life’s epic ending.
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Well I was going down to the lake
I felt I just need some break
took the old guitar fella with me
don’t wanna think, don’t wanna be
Refren 1:
After all this rough week
This blues feels so sweet
Drinking cold beer from a can
Thank God it’s Friday again
Verse 2:
So far from the whole world
Flying alone like a dead bird
There’s a myth – so I heard
’bout a place never disturbed
Refren 2:
I was down and drinkin’
When I started singin’
This blues feels so sweet
after all this rough week
Verse 3:
Shining green, high up in the mountain
My folks were going there huntin’
They say there’s a spring in a cave
Indians used to go there rave
Refren 3:
In theat tight, dark, wet hole
I found out about my soul
embracing all that I am
Thank God it’s Friday again
After all this rough week
This blues feels so sweet
Drinking cold beer from a can
Thank God it’s Friday again
