pop rock country
Somewhere between pop, rock, and country.
Thank you for visiting my music page. I began writing my own music because I am self taught and couldn't read music. I have always appreciated the unique tonal nature of the guitar. I would simply write the words and chords, and try to remember the melodies. Having an extensive computer background I decided to create my own garage style studio and produce my music on the computer as sample demos. So, these are not professionally produced recordings. I am not a singer, just a writer creator. Every work was recorded on computer using various versions of Cakewalk with acoustic or electric guitar while experimenting with many synthesized sounds. I offer these works to those who can appreciate them with their imperfections.

Story behind the song
In December 2010 I received a contest invitation from USAA to write a song about traveling the highways. I was preparing for an out of town Christmas trip and a January ski trip to Breckenridge and had less than a month to write it, record it, and turn it in. I had already written several instrumental tunes, so to reduce the time, I settled on one of those tunes. The tune, however was in a different key and the tempo was a little slower than I wanted for a traveling song. Although it wasn't right for my voice, I didn't have time to lay down the audio guitar tracks again in a different key, so I focused on writing words to match the contest requirements. The version of the song I sent to USAA will be different from this version as I continue to view this as a work in progress. The song itself is about a fictitious beloved car from the '60s that has been with me for all of those years and is a part of my life history. It was with me at my prom, it waited for me to return from the service, and helped me raise a family. It has had some bondo work and several things fixed, but to me, it has a personality and a sole. It shows that personality whenever it gets to go out onto the open road, again.
