I see Spin found a gem with 'Impressions'. Nice intro! "Solo trumpet chilled a bit" to ice cold cool I'd say! Nice slap back on the trumpet. Like the guitar (the tele?) parts. A very cool urban chill from another 'Ice Man', Al Massey. Can't wait for your Jazz Fusion Challenge track Al - way too much time between new pieces from you - just first class, great music. I think your signature serious bad a*s jazz man piece, for me, is your sax on "ASCENZION IMPROV FLIPSIDE-To Al Massey/Download w/Dr. Bob's BBQ" - I see DR. Bob rightfully has it tacked up on his page. I've listened to 'Impressions' multiple times while writing this - awesome! Yes, what a fresh breeze listening to this #1 tune Al! Everything seems to move so light and weightless through the space, wonderful horn lead part, underlined with a subtle echo (delay). I really enjoyed this tune Al, one of the smoothest ( ;) ) of yours. Great intro and bass line indeed, but I was fascinated from the horn part!! Why didn´t I listen yet..... good that I did it today!! :D :D

Yeah, this is really nice. Great horn phrasings, tonality. Everything, all the instruments, so well done. The production quality is great as usual. I must create a new station for this sort of stuff. I guess I would call it smooth jazz.

This has a very sedating sound.. and love that little bass run up and down the neck.. very nicely structured and that trumpet.. gotta love the ambiance it brings to the table. You really have a nice professional sound on your tracks and a great overall composition.. diggin your groove!

This is SO smooooth! Love the cool percussion track and that trumpet is sweeet. The whole feel of this is just ace...i see neon lights and and can almost feel the pulse of the city here. Excellent playing and recording. Impressive! Pine
