Story behind the song
This wrote itself in about three hours. Really came out of nowhere. It happened during the most deadly month for US troops in Iraq - not to mention that it probably was also not a good month for Iraqis. I was thinking about a cousin of mine who did two tours in Vietnam and had horrible PTSD. The non-physical scars that trauma leaves behind not only destroy a body, but a mind.
