This song is about my grandparents and their stories. I used the Frostwave Resonater on the guitar solo - I love what that thing does, I haven't found any decent software substitute for it.
Lyrics
C1
She lives across the ocean
far away
so big and wide
I took my fathers boat and
tried to make it
to the other side
V1
should I make it
(then) I’ll see if she cares
In just a second
her eyes (will/can) take me there
PC1
All the things that I can’t do without
All the mem-(o)ries and
ling-(e)ring self doubt
C2
She lives across the ocean
far away
so big and wide
I took my fathers boat and
tried to make it
to the other side
V2
green tomatoes
and the gold in her hair
these things remind me
of the time (when) I was there
PC2+
All the things that I can’t do without
All the memories and
lingering self doubt
(+) In a minute we’ll see what I’m made of . . .
C3
She lives across the ocean
far away
so big and wide
I took my fathers boat and
tried to make it
to the other side
PC4+
All the things that I can’t do without
All the mem-or-ies and
ling-(e)ring self doubt
In a minute we’ll see what I’m made of
C3
She lives across the ocean
far away
so big and wide
I took my fathers boat and
tried to make it
to the other side
***She lives inside a mountain
deep inside
where the weasles hide (just nevermind this part!)***
