Story behind the song
I wrote this song together with Dennis Dawe, a very talented songwriter from the U.S. What you hear here is what I call a "stripped down" demo. This was actually the very first demo of the song that I recorded. I wrote the tune and recorded the demo within an hour. Initially I wanted to make a full-blown production, but I kind of liked it just the way it was so I decided to leave it that way. I would like to thank Dennis for sharing his talents with me.
Sunshine on my Windowpane Chorus: This morning the sun shined on my windowpane For so long it's been rain It's great to have you in my life again It's good to see the sun again Verse 1: I think I'll do something I haven't done since I don't know when Go somewhere I've never been And talk about things we haven't said since way back then See someone I haven't seen Chorus Verse 2: I think I'll wear something I haven't worn since I don't know when Do something I've never done And think about things I haven't thought since way back then Sing a song I've never sung Bridge: For so long, it's been rain Now I see sunshine on my windowpane It's good to see, the sun again And have you back with me again Chorus Music & lyrics: Dennis Dawe and Robert Baitinger Instruments & vocals: Robert Baitinger
