Story behind the song
It's maybe a little too low in key for my voice range but I didn't want to change it instrumentally so I made it to be sung very softly. In the refrain it's coming loose a little bit more and all in all I think it's a catchy piece. Any comment is appreciated.
Lyrics
The day was gone
I stood waiting alone
among hundreds of others
travelling home tonight
The train came in
with an empty seat
opposite her
that appeared to be mine
The train started suddenly rolling
I was unprepared for the move
I found myself almost be falling
Falling into her arms
I struggled to stand
She put up a hand
I tried hard to find
a respectable way to land
Then the train reached
a steadier speed
I regained my control
and got down on my seat
The train started suddenly rolling
but I was unprepared for the move
I found myself almost be falling
Falling into her arms
/Instrumental part/
The train started suddenly rolling
I was unprepared for the move
I found myself almost be falling
Falling into her arms
Seated at last
I decided to think
she was part of the crowd
just like anyone else around
Clearly it failed
She was all that I saw
and in silence I thought
it is now that I fall
Her smile tried to catch my attention
But I just kept looking away
I wish that I had indeed fallen
Fallen into her arms
The train started suddenly rolling
I was unprepared for the move
I wish that I had indeed fallen
Fallen into her arms
The train started suddenly rolling...
