“ FUSING PROGRESSIVE ROCK WITH A STRAIGHTFORWARD ROCK AND BLUES SOUND
From our very own backyard, in New Jersey, comes a man with the sound that many musicians have been searching for through the years. That man is known as “SPIKE IVORY.” For over twenty years, Spike Ivory has crafted his unique sound and style by drawing on such influences as John Waite, Danny Wilde, Tommy Tutone and John Hiatt just to name a few. Despite various personnel changes and layoffs through the years, the music still remains fresh. This can be seen through the live shows and in the eyes of the fans, whom have grown considerably over the years, and continue to remain loyal to Spike Ivory and his music. Spike Ivory is not only a gifted singer/songwriter, but he is a very rare talent with the passion to succeed in this tuff industry, we call the music business. www.spikeivory.com “STRAIGHT FORWARD ROCK-N-ROLL WITH OVERTONES OF ROCKABILLY, COUNTRY AND FOLK” THE ALTERNATIVE NEWS MAGAZINE JUNE 2003

Story behind the song
ACTUALLY I OVERHEARD SOMEONE AT A DINER ONE DAY SAYING HOW THEY WENT THROUGH THIS REALK NASTY BREAK UP. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER OUT CAME THE SONG.
Lyrics
DON’T TALK TO ME You said you were my lover, you said you were my friend You said that you would stay with me until the very end I didn’t see it coming babe, until I hit the floor A couple hours later you were running out the door I used to be a joker, until I played the fool You brought me down to my knees, and sent me back to school Time and time again I tried to work things out You always put me in a corner, you know you really knocked me out Don’t talk to me Don’t talk to me Since you walked out that door I said don’t come around here no more I heard you knocking at my door, you were on your hands and knees Saying please, please, take me back, your all I’ll ever need Sorry little lady, I’m no longer a fool If I was to take you back, I’d be breaking all the rules Don’t talk to me Don’t talk to me Since you walked out that door I said don’t come around here no more
